Head of Human Capital and Labour Market Policy, Forfás (also Head of Secretariat)
Marie Bourke is Head of Human Capital and Labour Market Policy at Forfás and is Secretary to the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs. Marie was previously Department Manager, Enterprise Division in Forfás responsible for tax and finance policy, surveys and the environmental agenda for enterprise. Marie managed the secretariat within Forfás to the Enterprise Strategy Group which published its report Ahead of the Curve in July 2004 and was Secretary to the Small Business Forum which launched the report Small Business is Big Business in July 2006. In September 2007 she was responsible for the launch of Towards Developing an Entrepreneurship Policy for Ireland.
Prior to this Marie worked with IDA Ireland as a marketing executive for the promotion of the International Financial Services Sector. In the past she held various posts in IDA Ireland.
Marie holds degrees in Commerce and a Masters in Business Studies from University College Dublin.
